I was going through a
very difficult period of
depression and rather
wished that somehow my
life would come to an end.
Allen’s first meeting with me
was very welcome and we
started to talk about life
in general. He was an
incredible listener and
before long I was telling him
bits and pieces about
my life and family. We
spoke for about an hour.
Our meetings became
something that I looked
forward to each week. He
became a sounding board
for all my problems and I
definitely needed someone
to listen. He occasionally
interupted my monologue
and his questions and
comments were always
helpful. I cannot thank him
enough for the time he has
given me. Allen has been a
wonderful positive support
by listening and helping me
to come to terms with my
problems that I had never
really understood before.
